The Punjab Ombudsmen (PO) n provided relief amounting Rs137 million to 20 complainants during the last two weeks.
According to PO secretariat, Punjab Ombudsman Maj (r) Azam Suleman Khan provided relief amounting Rs137 million to 20 complainants during the past two weeks.
The biggest relief of Rs122 million was provided to Mohammad Shamim, a resident of Kesarwali, district Sialkot.
He submitted his application having request to ensure the payment of his land which was acquired by the government for the expansion of Nala near Sialkot. He made so many requests in the offices of local district authorities but failed to get his right.
Finally, on the interference of the Punjab Ombudsman, Mohammad Shamim was paid the price of his land.
Similarly, a resident of Samnabad, district Nakana Sahab, Nasim Begum whose husband Nazir Ahmed was an employee of Municipal Committee Sangla Hill and died few years back.
His widow Nasim Begum made request to Mohtasib office for the payment of outstanding amount of Rs2.2 million against family pension and financial assistance.
On the directives of the Mohtasib, the amount was paid to Shamim Begum for which her son Saghir endorsed and thanked the Mohtasib for his efforts.
