The Wafaqi Mohtasib (Federal Ombudsman) Syed Tahir Shahbaz Monday paid a visit to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province to review the implementation status of the recommendations of the Prisons Reforms Committee duly endorsed by the Supreme Court of Pakistan. During his visit, he co-chaired a meeting with the Chief Secretary wherein the Advocate General, the Special Secretary, Home Department, I.G. Prisons and other representatives of the convened departments also participated. He informed the participants that three periodical reports have been submitted to the Honorable supreme court of Pakistan in the context of implementation of the recommendations of the prisons report and the next report would be submitted in the month of October, 2019.
