Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar on Monday said that Pakistan is in the favour of a government in Afghanistan according to the aspirations of Afghan people.
“No power in the world including United States can defeat the Afghan Taliban.”He said, “Dialogue is the only solution to this problem. Pakistan is the biggest beneficiary of peace in Afghanistan.
Anti-state forces including India are unable to digest peace in Pakistan. Elections in Azad Kashmir will be completely transparent.
The Punjab Aab Pak Authority is doing its job successfully. By the end of this year, more than 100 million people will get clean water in Punjab.”
During his visit to Gujranwala on Monday, Chaudhry Sarwar laid the foundation stone of 106 projects of Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority (PAPA) at circuit house.
He inaugurated filtration plants of welfare organization Muslim Hand in Kashmir Colony and met the ticket holders and workers of PTI.
On this occasion Chairman Punjab Aab Pak Authority Dr Shakeel Ahmad, Mian Tariq, Rana Bilal Ejaz, Ali Ashraf Mughal, Aamir Rehman Sheikh, SA Hameed district president of PTI Rana Sajid Ali Khan, Arshad Mahmood Bhatti, district President of Women’s Wing Rubina Amjad and others were also present.
Addressing the ground breaking ceremony of Punjab Aab Pak Authority projects, Governor Punjab said that the work on Punjab Aab Pak Authority projects is in full swing and the work on projects worth over Rs 5 billion has started so far.
The promise to provide clean drinking water to the people of all the districts of Gujranwala should also be fulfilled for which the bureaucracy of Punjab stands united with The Punjab Aab Pak Authority.
Responding to media questions, Chaudhry Sarwar said that Pakistan has always played its role for peace in Afghanistan and still has a clear policy that Pakistan will not be a part of US war but peace building.
The United States is withdrawing its troops from Afghanistan but it must play its role in establishing peace there.
To a question, he said that the decision of the government led by Prime Minister Imran Khan not to give bases to USA is in the line with national interest and people’s aspirations, adding that the world is admiring Pakistan’s sacrifices against terrorism.
