The National Institute of Maritime Affairs (NIMA) successfully concluded its inaugural 5-Days Maritime Workshop on Friday marking a significant step in maritime domain.
The workshop aimed to enhance understanding and foster cooperation among students,maritime professionals, researchers from various think tanks, and academia. Throughout the week, the workshop covered crucial maritime industry topics such as Geo-strategic Environment in the Indian Ocean, Blue Economy, Climate Change & its Impacts on the Preservation of Marine Biodiversity, Maritime Law & its Governance.
On the fifth and final day, lectures on Artificial Intelligence and its applications in maritime domain were emphasized along with its enhanced operational efficiency and safety.
On conclusion of the workshop, the participants gave an overview of the workshop and presented some recommendations. The Chief Guest Vice Admiral Ahmed Saeed HI(M), President NIMA addressed the participants and distributed certificates accordingly.
