Central Spokesperson for Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Fazl) and former Senator Hafiz Hussain Ahmed has demanded Nawaz Sharif to return home. “It is time that Nawaz Sharif should return home immediately in view of the prevailing situation and it’s our sincere demand.”
Hafiz Hussain Ahmed was talking to various delegations and journalists at his residence Mottaghul Uloom her on Sunday.
Former member National Assembly and Leader of BNP Mengal Mir Abdul Rauf Mengal, son of successor Shaheed Maulana Abdul Ghani and member Central Council of JUI-F Maulana Muhammad Yousuf and others were also present on the occasion.
Hafiz Hussain Ahmed stressed that all members of Sharif family including Nawaz Sharif must be present in the country before the APC convenes for unity, decisive movement, survival of united opposition and effective joint decisions.
The JUI-F spokesperson said that despite being aware of Nawaz Sharif’s illness and other issues, we honestly believe that whether it is a statement of respect for the vote or a practical movement against the present government, its decision will be taken from London.
If possible, it could have been done by telephone or letter, so the solution to all these problems is for Nawaz Sharif to come himself, he elaborated.
In response to a question, he said that both the rulers and their supporters want Nawaz Sharif to stay out of the country and remain silent.
The same will happen, but the rumors that the current government has been assured of completing 5 years will be broken only with the return of Nawaz Sharif, he said.
He said that due to all these circumstances, the opposition has not been reaching a final decision on any agreed program for the last two years and the proposed APC of 20 dates is being considered as the last hope in this regard. Opposition parties have stated they will not run in the by-elections, he claimed.
Therefore, all the leaders of the opposition parties and especially the sincere leaders of PML-N will play their full historical role in this situation, he added.
