There is no end to the challenges faced by the Sharif family as the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has now filed a reference against PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif’s daughter.
Rabia Imran and her husband Imran Yousaf along with the main accused Wasim Ajmal have been nominated in the reference with an allegation that they caused a loss of over Rs370 million to the national exchequer.
According to NAB, they are involved in corruption of over Rs130 million in filtration plants established under Saaf Pani Project as the required equipment was purchased at higher rates. They are also facing the charge of Rs80.16 million corruption under the head of solar panels/work. Rabia is already among the main suspects in the money laundering reference in which Shehbaz and his son Hamza were indicted last week by an accountability court in Lahore.
