Matric exams schedule for Karachi unveiled

The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) on Wednesday announced the schedule for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Part I and II examinations.

According to the schedule issued by the board, matric exams will begin on May 8.As per the schedule, the science group exams will be held in the morning while general exams will be held in the evening.

Meanwhile, regular candidates can get hard copies of their roll number slips from their schools while admit cards will be dispatched to the residential address of the private candidates.

Earlier, the education boards of Sindh opposed the Sindh government’s move to outsource the entire examination system of the public and private educational institutions to a third-party organisation.

According to sources, the education board’s chairmen in Sindh opposed the Sindh’s Department of Universities and Boards’ decision to outsource the examinations this year as, according to them, the matric, inter exams are set to commence next month and it is impossible to proceed with the outsourcing plan.

After the resistance, the Universities and Boards department decided to outsource the examination system from the next academic calendar.
