A young man allegedly gunned down his mother and sister in the name of honour, the police said on Friday.
According to police, the incident occurred in Rohillanwali area of Muzaffargarh district. The police arrested the suspect and suspected there seems honour issue behind the shooting, adding that motive behind the gore incident, however, is yet to be ascertained.
The bodies of the deceased women have been shifted to the local hospital, police said. The probe of the arrested suspect is underway. Meanwhile, a petrol pump owner was stabbed to death at Bangla Manthar area of Sadiqabad in Rahim Yar Khan on Friday.
According to reports, deceased Riaz was going home with over Rs0.2 million in his pocket. Meanwhile, his close relative named Waqas intercepted him on the way and killed him by repeatedly stabbing him with a knife.
Locals, however, found suspect Waqas hiding in sugarcane fields, and handed him over to the police but not before giving him a good thrashing.
