LWMC cancels Sunday holiday of its staff

Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has cancelled the holiday of Sunday of all its officers and staff to ensure proper cleanliness arrangements in the city.
CEO LWMC has directed the entire staff to remain in the field and to mobilize the machinery to ensure best possible cleanliness arrangements in the city and to clear the backlog timely.
The workers and drivers who would perform the duty on Sunday would be given additional allowance. The drivers would get Rs. 1000 whereas the workers and helpers Rs. 800 respectively. CEO LWMC stated that the department is using all its resources to facilitate the citizens.
To provide cleanliness services to the citizens is one of our top priorities which cannot be neglected and in parallel to this resolving public complaint without any delay is also on the top of the list, he added. Spokesperson LWMC said that citizens should also participate and play their vital role in proper disposal of solid waste whereas they can always dial LWMC helpline 1139 for their waste related complaints or can use mobile based application Clean Lahore.
