ISLAMABAD Pakistan’s top civil leadership denounced Israeli Atrocities in Gaza at All Parties Conference which was convened at the President House in Islamabad to express solidarity with the Palestinian people, hosted by President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

In his opening remarks, President Asif Zardari noted that it has been a year since the onset of Israel’s aggression against Gaza and Palestine, which has led to the deaths of over 48,000 Palestinians. He expressed deep concern about the rising hostilities in the Middle East and condemned the violence and assassinations of Hamas and Hezbollah leaders by Israel, reaffirming Pakistan’s support for the people of Lebanon and Palestine.

He criticized international community for its inaction regarding Israel’s ongoing violence, calling for immediate measures to address the prevailing culture of impunity and violations of international law, and urged swift international action to de-escalate tensions, prevent further casualties, and contain the conflict. He also reiterated Pakistan’s call for the UN Security Council to uphold peace in the region and address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

PML-N President Nawaz Sharif also lamented Tel Aviv’s actions against innocent Palestinians, especially women and children, and questioned the global silence on these humanitarian issues. Former PM praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for highlighting the Palestinian plight at the UN and called for the implementation of UN resolutions concerning Palestine and Kashmir. He urged Muslim nations to unite in developing a cohesive strategy to stop the bloodshed in Palestine.

JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazl emphasized the need for practical support for Palestinians instead of mere resolutions and advocated for a coalition of Muslim countries to address these challenges collaboratively while Jamaat-e-Islami Chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman declared that Israel is committing genocide in Palestine and stressed the importance of taking a firm stance against such atrocities. He called on the international community to act decisively and suggested convening a meeting of Islamic nations to formulate a unified response.

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also sheds light on need for a comprehensive diplomatic campaign to advocate for Palestinian rights and engage media efforts to expose Israel’s agenda. He proposed establishing a high-powered committee with representatives from various political parties to advocate for the oppressed.
