The lawmakers in Punjab Assembly on Monday adopted a resolution which condemned the assassination attempt on PTI chief and former prime minister Imran Khan and torture and arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Senator Azam Swati.
Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Raja Basharat tabled the resolution in the House which says the ‘imported’ government was behind the attack on Imran Khan in Wazirabad and arrest of Azam Swati. The resolution calls on the Chief Justice of Pakistan to constitute a judicial commission for investigating these two incidents. The Supreme Court should punish the culprits after holding legal proceedings into the two incidents.
In the meanwhile Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Monday released footage showing the wounds received by PTI Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan during an assassination bid in Wazirabad.
The PTI chief sustained three wounds in the right leg, while he sustained two wounds in the right thigh and one in the knee. The wounds are still deep and are not healed.
The doctors at Shaukat Khanum Hospital have done a medical checkup on the former premier’s wounds and put a new bandage on them. The doctors will continue to look after Imran Khan’s wound in the coming days.
The footage was released after claims made by different quarters that Imran’s injuries were superficial and he did not receive bullets during the attempts.
