Lahore Ring Road to remain closed for 9 hours today

LAHORE – Police have issued a traffic plan for Lahore as Iranian President Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi is visiting the Punjab capital as part of his three-day official trip to Pakistan.

Police said that the Lahore Ring Road will remain closed from 6am to 3pm, asking people to use the alternate routes to avoid inconvenience.

The police further said that Lahore-bound traffic will be diverted from Kala Shah Kaku until the Iranian president is in the city.

Meanwhile, Punjab government has declared a local holiday in Lahore on April 23, 2024, Tuesday during the official visit of the Iranian President.

During the high-profile visit, government offices, along with schools and educational institutions, will remain closed on April 23 2024, as per official notification.

Chief Secretary Punjab issued the notification said holiday will be applicable only to District Lahore, while there will be no holiday in the departments of Punjab Civil Secretariat.
