Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents from the Bay of Bengal will likely penetrate the upper parts of Pakistan from September 25 (Wednesday). A westerly wave will also likely approach the upper parts on September 26 (Thursday).

Under these conditions, widespread rains with isolated heavy falls are expected in Lahore, Murree, Galliyat, Attock, Chakwal, Talagang, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Hafizabad and Wazirabad from Thursday evening/night to Sunday with occasional gaps.

Windstorms and lightning may damage weak structures like electric poles, billboards, and solar panels. Farmers are advised to manage their activities keeping in view the weather forecast. Tourists are advised to remain extra cautious and manage their travelling according to weather conditions.

Lahore’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 36-38°C on Tuesday and 35-37°C on Wednesday.
