LAHORE – Rainfall of varying intensities is expected in Lahore and parts of Punjab on Saturday night and Sunday with occasional gaps.
As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a westerly wave will likely affect upper parts of Pakistan from Saturday.
Under these conditions, cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the province on Friday night. However, fog/smog will likely persist in Jhang, Multan, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rahim Yar Khan and surroundings.
On Saturday and Saturday, intermittent light to moderate rain-wind/thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills is expected in Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Sialkot, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Bhakkar, Mianwali, Khushab, Faisalabad and Jhang.
Cold and dry weather is expected in most southern districts of the province. Isolated light fog is also likely in southern districts.
Lahore’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 07-09°C on Saturday and 06-08°C on Sunday.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed in Lahore and most parts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. Smoggy/foggy conditions persisted in patches in plain areas.
Murree remained the coldest place in the province where the temperature dropped to 01°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 50 per cent.
In Lahore, minimum temperature was recorded at 09°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 38 per cent.
