LAHORE – Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) on Wednesday extended holidays until October 18 amid untoward incidents across the region over the Lahore incident.
A notification shared by the LCWU registrar confirmed an extension in holidays till Friday, citing safety of students and staff members. The decision was made to avoid disruptions on campus, although it may lead to concerns about students learning.
The holidays were extended due to ongoing construction work on campus. The varsity was supposed to reopen soon, but it will now remain closed for an additional three days, from October 16 to 18.
The university administration also shifted classes online for a period to ensure continuity in education. The registrar issued an official notification regarding the extended closure earlier today, informing students and staff of the changes.
Students are advised to check their online platforms for class schedules and further updates.
