Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Minister Taimur Khan Jhagra has said that the provincial government will fund Rs12 billion to Ehsaas Ration Programme.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Taimur Khan Jhagra said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would fund 65 percent, or Rs12 billion, of its share in Ehsaas Ration programme.
He said that the Rs120 billion programme Ehsaas Ration is the largest of its kind in Pakistan’s history, allowing 20 million families or 130 million citizens to avail 30 percent discount on atta, ghee and daal.
He said that this is part of a set of social sector interventions unprecedented in the history of the country.
Jhagra said that universal health insurance for 40 million residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is now expanding across the country, adding Kisan Card will stimulate agricultural growth.—TLTP
