The speakers addressing a seminar have stressed the settlement of the lingering Kashmir dispute according to the United Nations resolutions.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the seminar was organized by Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir at Poonch Medical College in Rawalakot on Thursday.
The speakers said the Indian government was using the worst military force to suppress the freedom struggle of the Kashmiri people and the citizens, demanding freedom, rights and justice under the oppressive black laws like Armed Forces Special Powers Act, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and Public Safety Act, were being martyred in fake encounters or sent to jails.
They said in occupied Kashmir, the agencies under the influence of Indian National Investigation Agency and New Delhi-controlled State Investigation Agency were occupying the lands of the Kashmiri citizens, besides demolishing their properties and taking them into custody.
The speakers deplored the United Nations have passed several resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir, however, it has failed to implement them. The Kashmiri people have been struggling continuously for the last over seven decades for freedom from Indian military oppression and would continue it till taking it to its logical conclusion, they added.
The speakers demanded of the United Nations and Organization of Islamic Cooperation to help stop the Indian brutalities in the occupied territory. They also urged the government of Azad Kashmir to announce an anti-India protest movement regarding the Indian Supreme Court’s recent verdict on Kashmir’s special status.
