K Electric’s (KE) 3rd edition of the KHI Awards In a celebration of altruism and resilience concluded here on Thursday, highlighting the remarkable achievements of 44 winners across 14 diverse categories. From healthcare to education and inclusion, these organizations have demonstrated unwavering dedication to improving the lives of Karachi’s residents, even amidst challenging times such as the COVID-19 pandemic and economic instability.

Established in 2021, the KHI Awards serve as a beacon of support for institutions driving positive societal change. Despite facing financial constraints, these organizations have positively impacted an estimated 18 million lives since the inception of the awards platform. The event received an overwhelming response this year, affirming its credibility and importance within the community.

An esteemed jury, including prominent figures like Shehzad Roy and Sarwat Gillani, meticulously evaluated each entry to ensure transparency and impartiality.

Winners spanned various sectors, from healthcare stalwarts like the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) to inclusion advocates like the Gender Interactive Alliance (GIA) and educational pioneers like Chiragh Education Technologies. Moonis Alvi, CEO of KE, expressed pride in Karachi’s philanthropic spirit, emphasizing the city’s resilience in times of adversity. Saad Amanullah, chair of the jury, lauded the diversity and impact of the nominated organizations, highlighting their compassion and generosity in challenging circumstances. Sadia Dada, CMCO KE, extended gratitude to both applicants and winners, recognizing their invaluable contributions to society. As Karachi’s heart beats strong with the abundance of goodness showcased at the awards, the hope is to inspire a ripple effect of positivity and kindness throughout the city.
