Kaira for Pakistan’s continuous support to Kashmir cause

Adviser to the Prime Minister on Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Qamar Zama Kaira has highlighted the continuous support which Pakistani nation and government have been extending to the people of Jammu and Kashmir in their freedom struggle.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Qamar Zama Kaira was addressing a seminar “Commemorating Solidarity with Kashmiris” organized by Youth Forum for Kashmir (YFK), in collaboration with Iqbal International Institute for Research and Dialogue and Departments of Politics, International Relations and Urdu at International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), today.

He reiterated that the efforts will continue in the future as well. He said, the Kashmir dispute is alive due to the sacrifices of Kashmiri people.

Former Ambassador Abdul Basit addressing the seminar said it is an era of consistent soft diplomacy backed by strategy. It is a prime time for Pakistani youth to do research about the Kashmir dispute and counter the Indian arguments, he added.

All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter leader Sheikh Abdul Mateen on the occasion said the people in Indian illegally occupied Jammu have been facing the Indian brutalities for last over seven decades.

Vice President of IIUI Prof Dr Nabi Bux Jumani maintained that the university will continue to focus on highlighting the national, regional and international issues.

Executive Director of YFK Zaman Bajwa briefly described that the Indian atrocities in IIOJK ranging from rape to fake encounters and custodial killings demand humanitarian attention from youth and international community. Dr Kamran Kazmi and Prof Dr Muhammad Khan also expressed their views saying it is high time to enable Pakistani youth to become a source of communicating the Kashmir cause to the international community.
