‘Jashan-e-Baharan’ arrangements finalized

District administration has finalised all arrangement to celebrate ‘Jashan-e-Baharan’ (Spring Festival) and opening ceremony is being held at Municipal Stadium Hafizabad, today morning. Deputy Commissioner will inaugurate the spring festival. The first day, horse dance, tent pegging, gymnastic, pets show and other event will be held.

Deputy Commissioner said that spring festival is being held to provide recreational opportunities to people and promoting healthy activities among youth so that the youth could save from social evils and to demonstrate their hidden abilities. He said that this festival would continue till 15, March and sports competitions, flowers exhibition, ‘Mahfil Mushaira’ and other attractive events would be held in this connection.

Meanwhile, District Administration and Local Government have started 15-days ‘Safai Nisif Eman Hay’ campaign in the district on the directions of the Punjab government to ensure cleanliness and to keep environment pleasant in the district. A walk was taken out from Jinnah Chowk Gujranwala Road led by the DC Umer Farooq Warraich for creating awareness among people about importance to keep atmosphere green and clean.
