Jahangir Elahi Advocate and Faraz Ahmeed Advocate were respectively elected President and General Secretary of District Bar Association Abbottabad in the annual elections held here on Saturday for the next term.
Jahangir Elahi Advocate got 231 votes against his rival and sitting president Asad Khan Jadoon advocate who secured 201 votes for the one in one contest of General Secretary Faraz Ahmeed Advocate got 228 votes against his rival Siraj Hussain Advocate who got 203 votes. Kaleem Ullah Advocate was elected Library Secretary with 268 votes against his rival Sardar Shah Nawaz Advocate against 163 votes.
While rest of seats were filled as un-opposed as announced by the Haseeb Abbasi Advocate, election commissioner where Ch: Abdul Rauf was elected Vice president, Zulfiqar Ali Shah as additional secretary, Salik Hussain as Club Secretary, Sardar Amber Maqsood, Financed Secretary, Executive members were Shahib Zada Shahy Malik.
