The Students of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur won first positions in all Punjab Qirat and Naat Competition.
In accordance with the vision of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, and the Chief Minister of Punjab, Sardar Usman Ahmad Khan Buzdar, celebrations of “Hafta Shan-Rehmatul-lil-Alameen” are being held in the Islamia University of Bahawalpur.
The Seerat Chair, Faculty of Islamic Learning, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur also conducted various competitions of Qirat and Naat at divisional level.
The winners took part in competitions across the province. According to the details, Hafiz Amir Masroor, Senior Vice President IUB Qirat and Naat Society, and Mahim Tahir, the promising students of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, won the first positions in Qirat and Naat competitions respectively.
On this occasion, Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor, the Islamic University of Bahawalpur, while extending special congratulations to the students, reiterated his commitment that the University would continuingly provide training to the students not only in academics but also in extra-curricular activities.
The Director Seerat Chair, Faculty of Islamic Learning, Prof. Dr. Sheikh Shafiq-ur-Rehman also congratulated the students and said that the main purpose of establishing the Chair is to inculcate in the students a desire to live according to the Sirah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
