Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) with the support of its international donors and partners organized a technical review meeting for consensus building on the national level. Curriculum and Assessment Experts from across the country attended the two-day intensive workshop to discuss this year’s ASER assessment and survey tools to be operationalized across 158 rural districts along with 45 urban administrative units with the support of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
With the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) as co-hosts along with support from Pakistan Institute of Education (PIE), the review meeting allowed for a healthy debate and discourse on the various ways as to measure foundational learning ie., literacy and numeracy. Representatives from National Assessment Wing (Pakistan Institute of Education), National Curriculum Council (Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training), Directorate of Curriculum, Assessment and Research Sindh, Balochistan Assessment and Examination Commission, Elementary Board, Gilgit Baltistan Punjab Examination Commission, Directorate Of Curriculum, Research & Development, Azad Jammu and attended the meeting.
