ISLAMABAD – Rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Monday night, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a westerly wave will likely enter Pakistan’s upper parts on Tuesday evening/night.
Under these weather conditions, rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in the twin cities and at isolated places in the Potohar region, northeast Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir on Monday night.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in the twin cities and at isolated places in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Pothohar Region, upper Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during evening/night.
Islamabad’s maximum temperatures will likely stay between 40-42°C on Tuesday and 38-40°C on Wednesday.
Rawalpindi’s maximum temperatures will likely stay between 40-42°C on Tuesday and 38-40°C on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, hot and dry prevailed in the twin cities and most parts of the country during the last 24 hours. However, Kotli and Rawlakot received 03 mm of rain.
Bhakkar and Kot Addu remained the hottest places in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 48°C. Maximum temperature in Dera Ghazi Khan, Dadu, Jacobabad, Sibbi, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujranwala and Noorpur Thal was recorded at 47°C, Mohenjo-Daro, Dera Ismail Khan, Hafizabad, Narowal, Sargodha, Jhelum, Joharabad, Layyah, Khanewal and Nokkundi at 46°C.
In Islamabad, the maximum temperature was recorded at 42°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 24 per cent.
In Rawalpindi, the maximum temperature was recorded at 42°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 18 per cent.
