ISLAMABAD – Rain-wind/thunderstorms with light snowfall over the hills are likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Friday night and Saturday.
As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a weak westerly wave prevails over upper parts of Pakistan. It will likely persist during the next 12 hours.
Under these conditions, rain-wind/thunderstorms with light snowfall over the hills are likely in the twin cities, Gilgit-Baltistan, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas on Friday night.
On Saturday, partly cloudy weather with rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely at isolated places in Gilgit-Baltistan, lower Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Punjab and Balochistan during evening/night.
Islamabad’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 26-28 degrees Celsius on Saturday and Sunday.
Rawalpindi’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 25-27 C on Saturday and Sunday.
Meanwhile, rain recorded in Kashmir, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, north/central Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan and Zhob during the last 24 hours. Dry weather prevailed elsewhere in the country.
