CHENNAI – Indian Malayalam film industry actress Sowmya has accused a Tamil director of making her a sexual slave.
According to Indian media, in recent days, several actresses from the Malayalam film industry have been coming forward with allegations of sexual harassment and abuse against actors and filmmakers.
Now, another Indian actress has come forward with shocking revelations, accusing a Tamil director of serious misconduct.
In her recent interview, actress Sowmya, without naming the Tamil director, tearfully revealed that she was kept as a sexual slave by the director.
Sowmya said that the director first met her along with his wife, and as they began communicating, the director publicly portrayed her as a daughter to both his wife and the world, claiming she was like a daughter to him.
She added, “On one hand, he portrayed me as his daughter, but on the other, he mentally tormented me while maintaining a sexual relationship with me.”
The actress further stated that the director kept her as a sexual slave for a year, during which several actors, directors, and technical experts exploited her.
Sowmya confessed, “I was ashamed of myself. It took me 30 years to recover and get my life back on track after this incident.”
She added, “I cannot reveal the director’s name to the media, but I will provide it to the Kerala police so they can begin an investigation.”
The Kerala government formed a special police team to investigate several sexual abuse cases in the Malayalam film industry.
