Founder and Convener of Women Journalists Association of Pakistan Fauzia Kulsoom Rana has demanded that India should immediately release Mohammad Yasin Malik, Kashmiri Hurriyat Leader and the head of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF)one of the most effective voices of the Kashmir Freedom Movement, while restoring his fundamental human rights. She said that the Women Journalists Association of Pakistan is an organization that advocates fundamental human rights and appeals to all international organizations, including the United Nations, to play their role in release of the incarcerated Kashmiri leader who has been suffering for years in illegal imprisonment under Indian oppression and tyranny. Fauzia Rana said that no minority in India is safe from the persecution and tactics of Narendra Modi-led Hindutva regime in India. She said India has adopted the policy of state terrorism and is also involved in the killing of Sikh freedom leaders living abroad as well as thousands of Kashmiris. Founder WJAP said it is high time to practically ensure the human rights of Kashmiri mothers, sisters and daughters.
She expressed these views during a meeting along with a delegation of women journalists with caretaker Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Human Rights and Women Empowerment Mushaal Hussein Mullick.
