LAHORE – Imad Wasim, Pakistani all-rounder, announced hanging his boots from international cricket at age of 35.

The seasoned player, who struggled his with his form for sometime, thanked everyone for honor of representing Pakistan and thanked his fans for their unwavering support throughout his career.

Despite stepping away from international cricket, the left hand bowler confirmed playing domestic and franchise leagues.

In his social media message, Imad Wasim thanked his fans for unwavering support, acknowledging role they played in career. “Your love, support, and passion have always been my biggest strength. From the highs to the lows, your encouragement has pushed me to give my best for our beloved country,” he said.

Wasim ended his message by expressing his deep appreciation for the people of Pakistan. “Thank you for everything. Pakistan,” he concluded.

Imad was front runner of Twenty20 cricket as he played key role in Pakistan’s 2017 ICC Champions Trophy win and debuted internationally in 2015.

He led Green Shirts in 2019 and reversed his retirement decision in March 2024 to play in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

Wasim represented several franchises globally, including Karachi Kings, Melbourne Renegades, and Islamabad United, and is recognized as one of the top T20 specialists.
