In order to celebrate the 76th Independence Day with full national spirit in various places of Wana, Lower South Waziristan District, events were organized in many places.

A cake was cut to mark the 76th independence day of Pakistan, and a variety of saplings were planted by civil and military officials to commemorate Independence Day. DC Lower South Waziristan Nasir Khan, DPO Farman Ullah South Waziristan, Additional DC Kashmir Khan and AC Wana Yasir Salman Kundi along with teachers, tribal elders and students participated in the event and showed their national spirit and expressed, the main event about Independence Day was organized at Government High School, Wana.

Meanwhile, DC Nasir Khan also attended the Martyrs Ceremony at South Waziristan Scouts Upper Camp Wana. Special congregational prayers were offered for the nation, the security forces and the martyrs, and the day officially begins with the unfurling of the green flag.
