Health Cards no less than blessing: Ejaz Ch Says new hospitals will enhance health facilities

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Ejaz Ahmad Chaudhry has said that the facility of Health Insaaf Card given to the people is no less than a blessing.

He said that every family across Punjab will have Health Cards by December this year through which they will be able to get immediate and quality medical treatment at their doorsteps.

He expressed these views here at the Department of Radiology, Lahore General Hospital where Health Card Counter was inaugurated.

A large number of senior professors and doctors including UHS Vice Chancellor Prof Javed Akram, Principal PGMI Prof-Dr Sardar Muhammad Al-freed Zafar, Dr Umair Rashid Ch, Dr Noor, MS LGH Dr Abdul Razzaq wert also present on the occasion.

Principal PGMI said that new hospitals in the province would reduce the burden on teaching hospitals and provide quality healthcare to the citizens.

He said that the Punjab government has allocated Rs370 billion for the Health Sector in the financial year 2021-22 which will lead to a clear improvement in the Health Sector.

UHS VC Prof Javed Akram said that now doctors from abroad also coming back and serving here in their motherland.

He further said that University of Health Sciences is playing its full role in bringing doctors, nurses and paramedics in line with the modern requirements.

Dr Umair Rashid Ch said that the highest number of people being handicap in the world is due to brain haemorrhage.

He said that first “Acute Stroke Centre” is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities have started functioning where a patient with brain haemorrhage and stroke can be saved if he reports within 24 hours.

On the occasion talking to media, Senator Ejaz Ahmad Ch said that Health Insaaf Card is the vision of PM Imran Khan which was introduced in KPK during the last government and now its scope is being extended across the country.

He said that the holder of this Card would get a complete protocol and through it there would be practical progress towards the establishment of the state of “Madina” and the poor man would not have to sell his house or goods for the most expensive treatment.
