Hands on practice integral part of medical studies: Najma

Nur International University Lahore organized an Educational Workshop on “Dry Needling” for DPT students. Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Najma Najam paid thanks to the resource person for taking out his precious time and trained DPT students. She appreciated NIU DPT Faculty members and CPD team for successfully organizing this workshop. She congratulated students on the completion of this workshop and has a wonderful learning experience in the conducive environment.

Dr. M. Asim Arif, Associate Professor, Certified Dry Needling Practitioner (South Africa) was the resource person for the workshop. He briefed students about the history, types, indications, contraindications and precautions of dry needling. Moreover, Dr. Asim explained the significance of this modern physiotherapy technique in relieving pain, muscle tightness and in other musculoskeletal problems.

He demonstrated the procedure of the technique in an effective and detailed manner. Dr. Bilal Umar (Head Physiotherapy Department, NIU) thanked the Pro Vice Chancellor for giving this opportunity to organize the workshop on the effective topic.
