Rapper and music producer Jonathan Smith commonly known as ‘Lil Jon’ embarked on a new chapter in his life as he embraced Islam during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The 53-year-old took Shahadah in English and Arabic at mosque in Los Angeles on Friday. The singer shared the news online with fans.
In a social media fan, he thanked his followers for their positivity and love through posting a story.
His conversion video was also shared online, showing the rapper to recite Shahada.

The musician known for hit songs like “Yeah,” “Turn Down for What,” and “Get Low,” is among a growing number of showbiz people who converted to Islam in recent times.
Lil Jon amassed huge following online. The singer along with his group The East Side Boyz won a Grammy Award in 2005 for Best Rap/Sung Performance for the song “Yeah!” featuring Usher and Ludacris.
