The Punjab Home Department likely to seek deployment of four companies of Rangers in the province in the wake of possible protests by banned outfit Tehreek-e-Labbaik (TLP).
The Cabinet Wing has sought the opinion of the provincial cabinet regarding approval and deployment of the Rangers in the province.
It is to be mention that in the latest development the Federal Review Board has yet again sent TLP chief Saad Rizvi on detention till October 23.
The FRB will meet on October 23 on the authorities’ request for an extension of the detention of proscribed TLP chief Saad Rizvi.
Meanwhile, President of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) and Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi issued notification of the district organization of PML-Q.
According to notification, Punjab Minister for Environmental Protection Muhammad Rizwan has been nominated as General Secretary of Sialkot.
The provincial minister thanked the party leadership and assured that he would fulfill every responsibility assigned by the party.
Muhammad Rizwan said that he was a soldier of Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and would come up to the expectations in every hour of need.
