Governor praises CM Naqvi’s swift health sector achievements

Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi engaged in a comprehensive discussion with Governor Punjab Muhammad Balighur Rehman today at the Governor House, covering a spectrum of issues concerning the province. Governor Punjab apprised Chief Minister Naqvi of the financial and administrative challenges stemming from neglect during the previous government’s nearly four-year tenure in Punjab’s public universities.

The meeting delved into enhancements in provincial financial management, encompassing public welfare initiatives and improvements in police stations, facilitation centers, zoos, and public recreational facilities.

Governor Punjab commended Mohsin Naqvi and his team for their swift execution of public welfare projects, expressing appreciation for their performance.

Highlighting the noteworthy accomplishment of upgrading the Emergency of Punjab Institute of Cardiology within a record timeframe, Governor Punjab acknowledged Chief Minister Naqvi’s exemplary efforts, particularly in the health sector, over a short duration.

Addressing the extraordinary smog crisis in Lahore, CM Punjab affirmed ongoing efforts to mitigate the issue. He revealed the testing of artificial rain as a measure to address the problem, with a second test scheduled later this month. Furthermore, the chief minister disclosed upcoming initiatives, including the prohibition of smoky vehicles, in the concerted fight against the escalating smog problem.
