Director General Gallyat Development Authority (GDA) Capt (Retd) Khalid Mehmood has said that GDA has started scrutinizing all the on going projects initiated during last few years and assured that no unlawful act will be accepted at any cost.
Briefing to Journalists at his office here DG GDA told that although land dispute with Forest department has resolved for construction of four star hotel project at Nathiagali as four kenal disputed land has been reduced but they have been waiting for the cabinet approved for de-notifying the relevant sections of the Forest Ordinance.
Replying to another query about leasing out of 110 kenal land to Monal Group for Ayubia Chairlift project, Khalid Mehmood told that they will wait for the final verdict of the court as the case is lying pending with High court. However he assured that they will never launched the project without Environment Impact Assessment.
While Commenting upon controversial Helda Estate project at Dunga gali in which 16 kenal land was legalized, Director General GDA told that he has confirmed from relevant section that GDA has registered the deed which was dully attested by the registrar revenue department. However claimed that he has been personally examining all the projects carefully and trying hard to image building of GDA as well.
