The Chief Minister said that there are vast opportunities for mountaineering in Gilgit-Baltistan in view of which the provincial government is arranging high level altitude training at international level for the first time.
It has a very positive impact on adventure tourism and the economy. Khalid Khurshid on the occasion of the provincial cabinet meeting directed the provincial health secretary to ensure prompt repair of CT scan and MRI machines. Providing the best medical care to the people of Gilgit-Baltistan is one of our priorities. The permanency of young doctors is also historic and was taken by the GB government.
The Chief Minister directed to complete the process of tenure of doctors as soon as possible under the Doctors Regularization Act. CM GB further said that the government was taking all possible steps to ensure the supply of quality wheat to the people.
Take stern action against employees and others involved in wheat theft and smuggling. Complaints of involvement of government employees in poaching are being received in this regard.
The Secretary Forest and Wildlife has been directed to submit a draft legislation for strict departmental and punishment against those who are involved in poaching in the relevant forum.
Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid said that the compensation for loss of precious human lives and property during natural calamities has been re-examined and the compensation for damages has been significantly increased.
