Gilgit-Baltistan’s Information, Planning and Development Minister Fatehullah khan and provincial Finance minister, Javed Manwa visited the Central Gilgit press on Monday. President Gilgit-Baltistan Press Club Khursheed Ahmed welcomed them. On the occasion of their visit provincial ministers also addressed to “Meet The Press” session. President GBPC Presented a short Charter of demand containing basic rights of GB Joirnalists.
Responding to the charter of demands provincial Information, Planning and Development Minister Fateh Ullah khan said that the government will use all the resources for the welfare of the journalists, Insha Allah, we will pass the Press Foundation Act for Journalists in the first assembly session. I will sit with the Finance Minister and do everything honestly in terms of grants for journalists, he added. He lauded the good performance and service journalists. All journalists will be provided health cards, he added.
Despite all the difficulties, journalists who play an important role for the region, we will raise their voices at every forum to solve their problems. Addressing to journalists, finance minister Javed Ali Manawa and said that prime minister Pakistan Imran has clearly said that Gilgit-Baltistan will be made a province. The current government will provide facilities to the people at the grass root level. During that time, finance minister Javed Ali Manawa said that journalism is the fourth pillar of the state; the government will take effective measures to strengthen it. He said that Gilgit-Baltistan is a province running on the grant.
