A tribal elder and three other persons were killed and one injured after unidentified assailants opened fire at their car in Manrah area of Tehsil Birmal in tribal district South Waziristan on Friday, Police said.
As per details, tribal elder Malik Sar Mar Jan Alas Sarmai Khan was travelling in his car to Shah Alam market from his home when some unidentified armed assailant intercepted their way and opened indiscriminate fire at their car. Resultantly Malik Sar Mar Jan, his nephew Aslam Khan and two laborers, who were onboard in the car, were killed and the son of Malik Sar Mar Jan Hazrat Umar severely wounded who was rushed to Sheikh Fatima Hospital Shah Alam for medical treatment.
The incident took place in the jurisdiction of Police Station WANA. Police sources noted that the two deceased laborers belonged to district Lakki Marwat who were hired by Malik Sar Mar Jan for labor for the construction of a government Tube well.
A case of the incident was registered in Police Station WANA and police have started an investigation to arrest the culprits.
