District administration is taking result-oriented measures for ensuring provision of fertilizers to farmers in the district while district administration and officers of agriculture department are monitoring on daily basis supplied by the fertilizers companies to dealers in the district Hafizabad whereas lists of fertilizer dealers with their stock are being issued on social media so that farmers can get Urea fertilizer on the prices of Rs. 2250 per bag fixed by the government.
While sharing details of steps taken by the district administration to protect farmers’ rights, Deputy Commissioner Hafizabad Touqeer Ilyas Cheema warned fertilizer dealers that if any dealer found to involve in violating government price, the district administration would initiate strict action against profiteers and hoarders.
He also directed the district officers of fertilizer companies to ensure clearance of pending supply orders of the dealers in the district in the earliest so that farmers have not faced shortage of Urea .
