Elderly man clubbed to death, daughter injured

Unidentified attackers clubbed a 65-year-old elderly person to death and also injured his daughter after barging into their house in the Federal Lodges area of Johar Town, Lahore on Thursday.

Zainab, 24, daughter of Muhammad Yousuf, one who was clubbed to death by the suspects, told the police that she was on the first floor of the house when two unidentified persons came.

“The accused came to me on the first floor of the house and told me that your father has been tied up with ropes on the ground floor. They hit me in the head with batons,” she maintained.

Mian Mohsin, son-in-law of the deceased, told the police that Muhammad Yousuf had four daughters and a son.

“My brother-in-law, the son of Muhammad Yousuf, works in Australia while my wife and her sister, who was injured due to torture of the accused, live in Lahore,” he added.

“My father-in-law Yousuf and sister-in-law Zainab were at home at the time of the incident. Zainab informed my wife, her sister, that the house had been attacked,” he stated.
“My father-in-law lived with her daughter Zainab at the house. She studies at the University of Central Punjab (UCP).
