Director General Public Relations, Information Department, Government of Sindh, Muhammad Saleem Khan, has praised the significant role played by private sector organizations, particularly the Sundas Foundation, in providing healthcare to patients suffering from blood diseases. His remarks came during his visit to the Sundas Foundation, where he commended the organization’s efforts in offering state-of-the-art healthcare services.
During the visit, attended by Irfan Mahar, Faisal Hameed, and other office bearers of Sundas Foundation, Muhammad Saleem Khan expressed his admiration for the foundation’s work, which serves patients without any discrimination of caste, creed, or religion. “Their free blood transfusion and blood diseases treatment services are remarkable,” he stated, highlighting the foundation’s commitment to patient care.
The Director General further emphasized that the Sindh Government places a high priority on healthcare for the public. He mentioned several key initiatives by the provincial government, including the Cyber Knife facility at JPMC, NICVD centers, the Autism Center, and the Abdul Qadir Institute of Gambat, as examples of the government’s significant strides in healthcare. “These facilities not only benefit patients from Sindh but also from other provinces and countries,” he added. Appreciating the contributions of the Sundas Foundation, Muhammad Saleem Khan acknowledged the organization’s role in providing a dedicated treatment center for blood disease patients in the province. He also credited the late Munoo Bhai, a renowned writer and the founder of the foundation, for his vision in establishing the center in Karachi.
During his visit, the Director General toured various sections of the center and interacted with the patients’ families, inquiring about the services and care being provided to them. His visit highlighted the importance of collaboration between government and private healthcare sectors to improve public health services.
