DG Rescue vets force performance at REOs moot

Director General Punjab Emergency Dr Rizwan Naseer reviewed progress on implementation of the Rescue Performance Grading System in Regional Emergency Officers (REOs) conference held at Rescue Headquarters here on Saturday.
The DG said that aim of the Rescue Performance Grading System is to ensure that all good willing workers with good performance must be graded with Grade A and appreciated and identify and improve rescuers with average and weak performance and professionalism as Emergency Service cannot afford to have any staff who compromise on Service standards.
Dr Rizwan Naseer discussed in detail with REOs about the best and weak performing staff and districts. He directed them to acknowledge/ appreciate the best performing districts and share their best practices with other districts of your division to bring them all at the same level, ensure timely and quality services to all citizens and maintain the uniform standards of the service because no compromise on standards will be accepted in service delivery.
The DG Rescue also emphasized to ensure the implementation of Corona emergency response guidelines issued by Headquarters, use of facemask, and avoid handshaking to avoid the spread of Covid-19. Dr Rizwan Naseer also directed them to review Corona patients’ details on daily basis and observe the pattern/reasons of the deaths due to Covid-19 to further submit recommendations to concerned organizations to avoid the spread of the pandemic. The meeting was attended by Regional Emergency Officer Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, DG Khan and Head of Wings from Rescue Headquarters and Academy.
On the occasion, the REOs briefed the DG about the establishment of Fire Service at Tehsil levels and the operational status of PTS Ambulance. They also briefed about surprise monitoring visits to all Rescue Stations in their respective divisions. They evaluated the performance and discipline of the staff, inspected rescue station vehicles & equipment, and graded them accordingly in Grade A, B, C, and D.
While evaluating the performance of each district, DG Rescue was apprised that Rescue Station Kasur in Division Lahore, Rescue Station Vehari in Multan Division, Rescue Station Muzaffargarh in DG Khan Division. Central Rescue Station Sialkot in Division Gujranwala, Rescue Station Okara in Division Sahiwal, Sub Rescue Station in Division Bahawalpur, Rescue Station Kalma Chowk in Division Rawalpindi, Central Rescue Station Sargodha in Division Sargodha, and Central Rescue Station in Division Faisalabad was overall found the best in the division.
DG Rescue also directed REOs to organize Inter-Union Council Community Emergency Response Team competitions under their supervision to finalize the best CERT of the district for the upcoming National CERT Challenge-2020 in December.
