Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Monday regretted that some immature politicians are pointing fingers at the state institutions instead of criticizing Modi in Kashmir.
She advised them to avoid such negative propaganda against the state institutions and care for Pakistan’s defence and national security.
“Criticism of PM Imran Khan is tantamount to strengthening Modi’s ideology. The opposition has the right to criticize but it must set some limits.”
Talking to the media at the DGPR office here on Monday, the SACM said that despite all efforts of the opposition, Kashmiris will give the mandate to PM Imran Khan.
Replying to a question, she said that Nawaz Sharif’s ideology is based on looting and escaping.
“Institutions are the guarantor of Pakistan’s national security. The whole nation stands with its armed forces and every effort of the opposition to weaken the country will be thwarted.
She said that fake princess only strengthens her family’s business ties with Jundal by making such immature statements.”
Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh’s integrated development and management plan which will promote religious tourism in the province.
She said that a comprehensive plan has been devised for the improvement of Data Darbar’s surrounding infrastructure to facilitate Zaireen as well as make this area centre of religious tourism and education.
Under this plan, Data Darbar will be transformed into a welfare centre where the Zaireen will not only be provided with food and accommodation but arrangements will also be made for their education.
The Special Assistant said that PM has felicitated CM Usman Buzdar and his team for presenting a people-friendly budget.
A special cell has been set up in the Chief Minister’s Office for proper utilization and implementation of the funds allocated to different departments in the budget.
She said that CM has directed for e-tendering and on the directions of the PM, a third-party evaluation will be conducted to check the quality of the project.
Dr Firdous said that budget 2021-22 proper utilization will be ensured and PM himself will oversee it. She said the former government planted 20 million trees in Punjab while the present government planted 170 million trees.
The Prime Minister has given a target to the Punjab government to plant 500 million trees so that the province may be brought back to greenery and prosperity, she said
The SACM said that PM Imran Khan had directed that the elections in Kashmir should be held as per the aspirations of the people and no unconstitutional and illegal steps should be taken which would tarnish the election process.
She said the incumbent Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir who belongs to PML-N is spending tax money of the people on the election campaign and protocols of PML-N.
The Special Assistant said that Shehbaz Sharif took heavy kickbacks and signed expensive power generation deals but did not give any mechanism to supply electricity to the grid station.
Shehbaz Sharif encouraged expensive power generation projects but did not focus on cheap hydel power projects.
The PTI government is working not only on new power projects but also for the improvement of grid stations and transmission lines, concluded the SACM.
