In an unrelenting effort to combat the menace of drugs and illegal possession of arms, law enforcement authorities in Attock district have apprehended 10 individuals in a recent series of operations. The crackdown, spearheaded by District Police Officer Dr. Sardar Ghiyas Gul Khan, has yielded substantial results, with the recovery of over 8 kg of hashish, a 44-bore rifle with 105 rounds, and 2 pistols with 30-bore ammunition from the suspects.
Acting on the directives of Dr. Sardar Ghiyas Gul Khan, officers from the Sadar Hasan Abdal police station executed a swift raid, leading to the arrest of Ambassador Beg, son of Shabir Beg Sakna. A subsequent search uncovered 2200 grams of hashish in the possession of the apprehended drug dealer. The anti-narcotics patrol was instrumental in the arrest of three additional drug dealers Naveed Ahmed, Rubeel Ahmed, and Mansha Masih along with the seizure of illicit substances. Hasan Abdal, son of Khushi Masih, was found in possession of 500 grams of hashish during a separate operation.
In another noteworthy operation, the notorious drug smuggler Shabbir Elahi, son of Ghulam Rabbani, was apprehended in Mansar Hazro, leading to the recovery of 1500 grams of hashish. A subsequent raid by the Anjara police station successfully seized a 44-bore rifle and 105 rounds from the accused John Badshah, son of Hunar Shah Sakna, in Kohat Hal Chhab Tehsil Jund.
