In a proactive move against the rising tide of anti-social activities, the District Police Officer (DPO) of Attock, Dr. Sardar Ghiyas Gul Khan, has spearheaded a series of operations resulting in the arrest of 13 suspects across the district. The operations targeted drug trafficking, illegal weapons, and liquor smuggling, leading to the confiscation of a substantial amount of narcotics and firearms.
During the coordinated efforts, a total of 12 kilograms of hashish, 620 grams of heroin, 180 grams of crystal meth (ice), and 12.5 liters of alcohol were seized from various locations. Additionally, illegal weapons were confiscated, including a pistol and ammunition recovered from Hazro police station.
One of the significant breakthroughs came with the arrest of Mushtaq Ahmad, alias Kala Langra, son of Ashraf Khan, a resident of Hamid Hazro. Police recovered 2100 grams of hashish, 210 grams of heroin, and 80 grams of ice from Ahmad. Further operations in Hameed Hazro led to the recovery of 2080 grams of hashish and 210 grams of heroin, resulting in the arrest of additional suspects.
Liaqat Hussain and Muhammad Nauman, residents of Saknoy Hazro, were apprehended along with drugs. 200 grams of heroin were recovered from Liaqat Hussain, while Nauman was found in possession of 40 grams of ice and 60 grams of heroin.
In a separate incident, the Attock Khurd police intercepted a motorcyclist from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, recovering hashish and making an arrest. Waqas Afzal, son of Bashir Afzal Sukna, was found carrying 1280 grams of hashish in Attock city.
