Country can’t tolerate mayhem Sarwar says public mandated govt to power for 5-year

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar has said that Pakistan can no longer tolerate politics of division and mayhem and the opposition will have wait for general elections instead of pushing the country into quagmire of uncertainty.
“Imran Khan can be not be blackmailed by such tactics. He is a politician of ideologies and principles”, Governor Ch Sarwar stated while talking to Provincial Minister of Minority Affairs Ejaz Alam and other delegations of PTI at Governor House here on Monday.
The Punjab governor Chaudhry Sarwar said that the PTI government has taken difficult decisions to steer the country out of the crisis.
If political opponents pursue their own personal interests and spread mayhem in the country, this will not in any way serve Pakistan.
I reiterate this to the opposition that they should respect the public mandate and avoid halting the process of the country’s development, he added.
The governor said that we are making decisions as per national interests not personal or political interests. He said that all institutions including the Parliament are being strengthened.
He said that those who are trying to make the institutions controversial will only face failure because the strength of Pakistan is in the strengthening of institutions.
The Punjab governor said that the public has given us a 5-year mandate that’s why it is our democratic and constitutional right to complete our term. General elections will take place on their time.
He said that if someone thinks that they can threaten the government through protests, they are living in a fool’s paradise.
He said that the Prime Minister Imran Khan will complete his constitutional term.
Governor Punjab said that PTI is taking practical steps to provide relief to the poor lot of the country.
He said that Ehsaas Program, Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme and Sehat Insaf Card are proof that we are uplifting the underprivileged sections of the population.
He said that all promises will be fulfilled as per party’s manifesto and we will make the dream of a progressive Pakistan a reality.
936 ROAD TRAFFIC CRASHES IN PUNJAB
The Punjab Emergency Service (PES) Rescue 1122 responded to 936 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) in all 36 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. In these RTCs 09 people died, whereas 1043 were injured. Out of this, 618 people were seriously injured who were shifted to different hospitals. Whereas, 425 minor injured victims were treated at the incident site by Rescue Medical Teams thus reducing the burden of Hospitals. The majority (69%) involved Motorbikes, therefore effective enforcement of traffic laws and lane discipline are essential to reduce this an increasing the number of Road Traffic Crashes.
Further, the analysis showed that 401 drivers, 27 underage drivers, 161 pedestrians, and 490 passengers were among the victims of these road traffic crashes. The statistics show that 222 RTCs were reported in Lahore which affected 226 persons placing the Provincial Capital at top of the list followed by 84 in Faisalabad with 96 victims and at third Gujranwala with 65 RTCs and 68 victims.
