KARACHI – Pakistani musician Haniya Aslam, of the band Zeb-Haniya, died of heart attack on Sunday.
The shocking news was announced by her cousin and former band member Zeb Bangash in a social media post.
In a post shared on Monday morning, Zeb shared an old picture of Haniya, and wrote “Hanini” in the caption.
Many fellow artistes and fans expressed sadness over the shocking death of the musician and extended condolence to her family.
Haniya Aslam, who was considered one of the finest musicians in Pakistan, worked with Zeb Bangash to produce multiple successful tracks as part of the ‘Zeb and Haniya’ band.
The duo hit to fame after their popular performance at Coke Studio with ‘Chal Diye’ track.
The departing soul also created music for the 2016 romantic Pakistani film ‘Dobara Phir Se’.
