CDA rolls out Online Property Verification System in major step towards digitalisation

ISLAMABAD – Capital Development Authority (CDA) has officially launched its online platform in major development towards digitalization.

A ceremony was organized at Capital Development Authority headquarters which was attended by CDA chairman, Board members, representatives of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industries, and officers of concerned formations.

Rules and regulations related to municipal services will be available to all citizens in just a single click. Similarly, various CDA forms and documents will now be available online.

CDA Chairman Anwarul Haq said corporation’s digital platform will improve service delivery. He called digitalization a much-needed step, as CDA is introducing secure paper for issuing allotment and transfer letters to curb forgery and tampering of records.

Haq was of the view that digitalization of CDA services will help end malpractice complaints, fraudulent transactions and also complaints related to alteration of records.

Sharing details about the digitalization, he said a tree management system has also been introduced as part of technology based initiatives being taken in the authority, and vast lands will be digitalized with the help of field staff and satellite images.

The new system will help the civic body to identify barren land along with trees and plants data so that the land of capital can be kept free from illegal constructions and encroachment.

The new initiative is said to boost the confidence of overseas Pakistanis as a new online property verification system. Under the latest system, CDA services are being provided online so that people do not have to visit CDA offices.

CDA chairman further said the tendering process has also been made online which will being transparency. Residents of federal capital will pay their water bills or other arrears including property tax at home.
