Carpeting of major roads in Hafizabad starts

Deputy Commissioner Hafizabad Umer Farooq Warriach has said that work on lying of carpet layer on three roads of the city Hafizabad has been started with the cost of Rs. 360 million under PCP Project of the World Bank and officers of the Municipal Committee Hafizabad and construction companies have been directed to ensure completion of scarpeting work at the earliest so that people of the city could get better communicational facilities as soon as possible.

While talking to media, DC said that Kassoki Road, Jalalpur Road and Drain Road were being reconstructing while work on lying layer of work has been started on Jalalpur Road near Qila Sahib Sing.

He said that Kassoki Road was being rehabilitated and widened for convenience of the people and road lights would also be installed in the middle of the road.

He said that construction work was being monitoring to ensure use of quality material and completion of the work timely. On the other hand Population Welfare Department Hafizabad has arranged Social Media Communicational Skills for Outreach Workers and Family Welfare Workers workshop here. District Population Welfare Officer Muhammad Atif Ali presided over the workshop.

Tehsil Population Welfare Officer Sajida Mushtaq, Dr. Zahida Jannat, doctors and male and female staff attended the workshop. Addressing the workshop, Muhammad Atif Ali said that expertise in social media and communicational skill were vital to meet the new challenges.
