LAHORE – Prominent businessman Zulfiqar Ahmed, who owns Paracha Textiles, Meezan Oil, and Cola Next, reached his home in Lahore after days of mysterious abduction in Karachi.

The development was confirmed by his lawyer Mian Ali Ashfaq while talking to a private news channel. He said Ahmed talked to his family from Lahore and he will soon be with them in Karachi.

However, the lawyer did not share further details about abduction of the business tycoon.

Last week, his family had filed a petition with the Sindh High Court (SHC) as police were reluctant to register the case against his alleged abduction.

The family alleged that Zulfiqar Ahmed was travelling with another person named Qaiser when their vehicle was intercepted by masked men, who were riding a double-cabin vehicle, on Mauripur Road in Keamari.

The gunmen had forced Ahmed and his associate into the vehicle and went away. After some distance, Qaiser was released while Ahmed’s still missing since then.

The family had moved the high court seeking an order for registration of a First Information Report (FIR) at the Kalri Police Station after police showed reluctance in registration of the case.
